Dr. Suzanne Dennis DDS

Education and Training
Dr. Suzanne Dennis received her Doctor of Dental Surgery from the Medical College of Virginia’s School of Dentistry. In addition to dental school, she also completed a postdoctoral program at the Medical College of Virginia and received a Masters degree in Orthodontics from Marquette University to complete her training. She completed her undergraduate degree at Longwood College where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. She is Board Certified and has been the recipient of many academic awards and achievements. As a mother of two boys, Dr. Dennis brings the loving attention of a mother to her practice. Office visits are attended to with her personal attention and supervision.

Dr. Dennis is a native Virginian who has been a practicing orthodontist in Charlottesville since 1998. She grew up in Virginia Beach and knew early on that she wanted to be a dentist. After 11 years of higher education to become an orthodontist and graduating from Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI she know she wanted to move back to Virginia. Loving both the ocean and the mountains, Charlottesville seemed an obvious choice.

About living in Charlottesville Dr. Dennis says:
“I enjoy all the opportunities that living in a diverse city like Charlottesville has to offer. I can go skiing in the winter and I am in driving distance of the blue ridge parkway and the beach in the summer. I can hike one of the many local trials or paddle my kayak on the reservoir. Whether it be to go see live music or theater, visit a museum or take a historical tour I enjoy the many cultural opportunities here as well. Charlottesville is also a great place to raise my family. As the mother of two boys, a fuzzy rag doll cat, and an 8lb Papillon dog, I appreciate the many family oriented activities in Charlottesville.”

About Herself
I really enjoy what I do and hope that it shows. At my office I have tried to create an environment that is both comfortable and fun. I have surrounded myself with people I enjoy spending my working days with and who are excellent at what they do. With so much of my time spent here at the office I feel that it is important to make this a pleasant place to be. But the best part of my job is seeing what a difference I have made in my patients and their families lives. That’s what keeps me going and one of the reasons I became an orthodontist in the first place.. There’s no reason why high quality orthodontic treatment shouldn’t also be enjoyable. My patients and their parents actually look forward to their appointments, I think that speaks volumes about my practice. I set high standards for my patient’s orthodontic care and treat them the way I would want my own family treated.
